Join Our Ministry
Are you called to serve a vibrant, progressive congregation committed to making God's love and justice real in the world? We invite you to explore the opportunity to become our next Pastor at the Presbyterian-United Church of Christ in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Here, in the heart of Saratoga Springs, NY, you'll find a faith community deeply committed to justice and spiritual growth. As an Open & Affirming/More Light, Global Mission, Immigrant Welcoming/Sanctuary, Peace & Justice, and Creation Justice/Earth Care Church, we work to make God's love and justice real in the world. Our congregation delights in thought-provoking sermons while actively engaging in transformative ministries. We support marginalized communities through refugee housing and sanctuary, advocate for LGBTQIA+ inclusion, address food insecurity through our daily soup kitchen and rural food delivery program, partner with local officials to serve our unhoused neighbors, and steward God's creation through our interfaith healing garden. Our global mission work extends to Cuba and Uganda, reflecting our commitment to building bridges of compassion across borders. In all these ways and more, we strive to be a moral voice for justice and compassion in our community and world.
As our next pastor, you would join a congregation that values authentic leadership, creative worship, and compassionate pastoral care. We seek someone who will help us deepen our connections with each other and our community, while guiding us toward new possibilities for ministry and growth.

As we search for our next pastor, we hold this prayer in our hearts:
A Prayer for Our Coming Minister
God of fresh starts and new beginnings,
In Your presence, we open our hearts and minds to the pastor journeying toward us. As they prepare for this transition, we ask for Your loving presence in their life.
Grant them clarity of mind to discern this new path, courage to embrace the adventure that lies ahead, and an open spirit to receive the blessings of change.
We acknowledge the complex emotions they may be experiencing: If leaving a community of trust and joy, ease their sense of loss. If departing from challenges, give them strength and healing. In all things, comfort them in grief and transform anxiety into trust and surrender.
May they find in us a welcoming community, ready to support and uplift them in this new chapter.
We pray our new minister will: Embody the love, hope, and unity we seek, Inspire us to deepen our spiritual connections, build upon our progressive traditions, and equip us to make Your love and justice real in the world.
Grant them patience, good humor, and wisdom To guide our lively and well-intentioned congregation. May they walk (or roll) alongside us with strength, laugh with us in joy, cry with us in sorrow, and join us in faithful prayer and works of justice.
As we await their arrival, prepare our hearts to receive them. May our shared ministry be a blessing to our church, our community, and to all of Your creation. In hope, gratitude, and anticipation, we pray. Amen.
