Living the Questions

Adult Christian Education Opportunity: Beginning in April we are offering "Living the Questions," a DVD series involving interviews with progressive Christian theologians. It is a tool to "bring together, equip, and re-educate thinking Christians."  Sessions will be on Thursday evenings starting April 3rd at 7pm in the Nolan House Parlor. Presenters will be Kristen Ross, Joanne Fritz, and Rev. Meredith Vandermin.

Gather with us in the followship hall for a pot luck breakfast and the tradition of palm cross making. We will have egg casseroles and quiche, a yogurt bar, bagels, donuts, cereal etc. We start at 9:30am. All are welcome!

Maundy Thursday Communion Service

Maundy Thursday marks the beginning of the Triduum (the three days leading up to Easter), and it's a time to remember the Last Supper, where Jesus shared a meal with his disciples and instituted the Eucharist (also known as the Lord's Supper or Communion).  We will also celebrate communion and all are welcome to join us.

Who: Artists of all ages and abilities

When: Friday, March 21st at 7pm

Where: Fellowship Hall

What: Join us for some cocoa and light refreshments as the very talented Mariia walks us through a step-by-step lesson to create a beautiful painting. 

Why: Fellowship, fun, and a good cause….our youth will be collecting donations to support Operation One’s Bridge of Hope initiative to support orphans and vulnerable women in Uganda in honor of Women’s History Month. $10 suggested donation, free for kids                       RSVP at church or to Trish@PNECChurch.org

The P-UCC church community maintains a supportive relationship with the Los Palos Presbyterian Church in Cuba. Beginning in 2016, three mission trips to Cuba have occurred, introducing 24 members of our congregation to our Cuban brothers and sisters. A 4th group, intergenerational by design (6 youths, 10 adults), is scheduled to visit Cuba in February 2025.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Join us for a contemplative Christmas Eve service that weaves together beloved carols, poignant poetry, and timeless scripture readings. Beginning at 7:00 PM, our service features special musical offerings, including clarinet duets and piano accompaniment. The evening unfolds through traditional carols like "O Come, All Ye Faithful" and "Silent Night," alongside contemporary poetry by Madeleine L'Engle and Naomi Shihab Nye that speaks to our modern world.
